"The first 24 hours Rx for WV was in operation, our story was on every television station in West Virginia. The Manahan Group did an excellent job getting our message out and keeping it in the public eye for months afterward."

Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA)

The Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA) was facing a tough public relations problem in West Virginia in 2004. The Manahan Group was called upon to help promote a new prescription drug clearinghouse called Rx for West Virginia. TMG got the word out through a variety of traditional and non-traditional public relations tactics, including an intense two-month outreach program that resulted in a 90 percent increase in activity at the program’s website and call center. Rx for West Virginia was so successful that PhRMA took the program national and renamed it the Partnership for Prescription Assistance. In its first year, the program helped more than 2 million Americans including more than 65,000 West Virginians.
