The Manahan Group has been honored with the highest award given by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA)—West Virginia Chapter for its work on the teen anti-tobacco campaign, Raze.

The award for Best in West Virginia 2006 was given to The Manahan Group for its work on the Raze teen anti-tobacco campaign for the Division of Tobacco Prevention. The Manahan Group created the Raze campaign in 2002 and has won numerous advertising and public relations awards for various aspects of the campaign. The Manahan Group's Raze Success television commercial has been recognized with a PRSA Crystal Award, a Gold Addy Award, a Regional Silver Addy Award and a Bronze Telly Award. The Raze campaign has helped reduce teen tobacco use in West Virginia by 34 percent.

The Manahan Group also picked up a Crystal Award for its Memorial Bracelets campaign for Raze, and an Honorable Mention for its Raze On video. The Manahan Group created the teen tobacco prevention effort in 2002 for the Department of Health and Human Resources, and has won numerous advertising awards for it over the years. The Raze advertising effort has helped reduce teen tobacco use in West Virginia by 34%.

The Crystal Awards are the highest honor given by the PRSA WV for excellence in the field of public relations. Entries were judged for creativity, strategy and results by a panel of public relations professionals.
