The Manahan Group’s Raze print ads and television spot were recently awarded both a 5th District Regional Silver ADDY Award and a Bronze Telly Award.

Both awards were presented for the agency’s work on behalf of the Division of Tobacco Prevention’s Raze campaign. TMG created the teen tobacco prevention effort in 2002 and has won numerous advertising awards. The Raze advertising effort has helped reduce teen tobacco use in West Virginia by 34%.

Telly Awards honor local, regional and national cable television commercials and programs as well as the finest video and film productions. The “Raze Success” spot was chosen from more than 12,000 video entries worldwide from the top ad agencies and corporations.

The Raze campaign will now compete at the National ADDY Awards in San Francisco, California, June 11, 2006. Only one other West Virginia entry qualified for the national competition.

With over 60,000 entries, the ADDY Awards are the world’s largest and arguably toughest advertising competition. The ADDY Awards represent the true spirit of creative excellence by recognizing all forms of advertising from anywhere in the world. The American Advertising Federation (AAF), a not-for-profit industry association, conducts the ADDY Awards through its 200 member advertising clubs and 15 districts. It is the only creative awards program administered by the advertising industry for the industry.

The Manahan Group is a full-service marketing and public relations agency located in Charleston, WV.
